Thousands of Filipinos work as call center agents because the position typically offers perks and a higher starting rate than the majority of jobs in the Philippines.

1. Dress Well.
Ensure that you appear professional when you arrive for the interview. Make sure you choose professional attire that fits you well and makes you feel comfortable while adhering to the appropriate dress code. Additionally, refrain from wearing strong perfume because some interviewers could find it disgusting.

2. Mind your behavior and body language.
Be as professional as possible when attending interviews. If you are feeling anxious or uncomfortable, try not to show it. As you walk, sit, or stand, practice having a good posture since it will definitely help you build confidence.
Train yourself not to think too much about your answers. To ensure that your responses come naturally, you must not be nervous. Keep a smile on your face and pay attention to the interviewer the entire time.

3. Polish your grammar and pronunciation.
Try to read articles and books that can help you determine the correct uses of verbs, tenses, and more. Online dictionaries and YouTube lessons are some resources you can use to learn how to pronounce words correctly.
Furthermore, lessen your stuttering while speaking. To ensure accurate word pronunciation, try speaking more slowly. When practicing speaking, you might record yourself and listen back for any words or phrases that you have difficulty pronouncing. if you want to improve your pronunciation and avoid some common mistakes (e.g., the word “of” must sound like it has a “v”).
Aside from the pronunciation of words, our use of intonation, or “tone,” also affects how they sound. For this reason, it is important that you learn the appropriate tone for expressing various phrase forms. For example, if you are asking a question, it must be clear that your tone is rising.

4. Learn how to perform well under stress.
It’s definitely not easy to deal with irate clients. However, if you work on maintaining composure and staying alert even when you are under stress, you are the perfect person for the job.

5. Study about the company and job you’re applying for.
Do as much research as you can on the company you have applied to before the interview. Learn more about their history, significant accomplishments, working environment, and reputation.
In passing the initial interview and getting to the final interview, keep in mind to be honest but not to the point of oversharing, which can spread negativity during the interview. Stick to what the interviewer asks you. If he or she is only asking about specific information, make sure to provide a straightforward response. Also, be confident when talking so you sound more convincing and persuasive!
